Google has officially released their Google Voice application for the Android and BlackBerry mobile phone platforms, with some strategic planning involved. Releasing their application to the BlackBerry market first, provides recognition to BlackBerry smartphones allowing Google to focus on a large sector of business users, and proves itself to be a strategic move for the company. Apple iPhone users will have to wait longer to get the application, when is unknown.
The Google Voice App allows users to place calls and texts through a Google Voice number which also includes international rates, great for businesses to save money on international calls. The app also integrates visual voicemail and a voice transcription service.
