I know there are a lot of games that have to do with zombies, and you’re probably bored of them by now. Well, you shouldn’t be completely bored! Viqua Games’ upcoming line-drawing zombie game, Zombie Escape should be the zombie game on your mind!
Overview
In Zombies Escape, you don’t control a real “character”, but you play as a controller of everyone. The object is to save as many people as you can with out them dying from the infected hordes of zombies. The way to do this is by drawing lines and directing the panicky civilians to helicopters. They are safe once they reach there, but are vulnerable on the way. The helicopters cannot hold many people, and based on their size, the amount will differ. Every person rescued will boost your score. Once the helicopters are full, they fly away, and you will not have anywhere to get your people to safety until another helicopter flies in. If your people get in contact with the zombies, you have a limited amount of time to get them away or they will die. If three people die, then the game restarts and your new hi-score (assuming you got a new one) is saved.
There are ways to kill the zombies, but right now there is a limited amount. You can have bombs, and direct them to different places where zombies are lurking, or you can save them until you are in a life or death situation (these weapons don’t harm your people). I have news that more are in the making and will be included when the full version gets released.
Zombie Escape has amazing graphics and sounds. I like the way they have made the sprites and zombies with realistic features (even though the view is from far away). There is spurting blood when the humans are killed which gets you in a good playing mode. It currently only has one mode of play across different locations/maps, but hopefully more will be added in the full version.
Viqua Games is hoping to have Zombie Escape in the app store by next month. Until then, I cannot wait to own the full version, and would love to see what new features will be added.
