This works but after a couple of days or so, it will no longer open.

  2. Maniacfive says:

Maybe things have changed since when I did this for my girlfriend when she got her 3GS, but your friend will also have to authorise your iTunes account on his PC, and it will use one of his 5 'authroised devices.' otherwise you recieve a message on your iPhone advising you that to download again for free you should connect your device to itunes.

  3. MidVA says:

If your friend paid for the app and you didn't, then you're stealing from iTunes.

  4. neopatetic says:

The activity described is plainly wrong. The assertion, "This is 100% legal as long as your friend approves," is clearly false. Depending on the extent, it could conceivably be serious. People should bear in mind that Apple makes a profit on the sale of apps, as do the developers, so this is a scheme to defraud both of those parties. While not all developers may be in a position to sue, Apple surely is.

On the plus side, you can be proud of doing something Bernie Madoff would approve.

  5. Marty says:

    Jay it's real simple.
That's STEALING, and you are encouraging others to do the wrong thing.

  6. Mellowseeker says:

Just a note that should be added you have to allow your friends phone or pod to be synced with that acct and you can only have 5 linked so keep that in mind. Also if I am not mistaken you will loose the apps once you pair that device back to your acct because each device can only be paired to one acct. The only way this works well is if 5 ppl all share one acct but also keep in mind someones credit card will be paying for all apps.

  7. Dude says:

    Do it all the time

  8. Monsterlokte says:

This trick is amazing people who say it's
stealing just know that you do it too

  9. iphone_jp says:

It works great. I do only with my wife`s iPhone so it stays in family. I was thinking why we (i & my wife) were buying often twice the same apps. Now I gave her many I do have which cost me $4-$12. My friend also does this all the time within his family. 1 app bought, but 3 of them use it. Updates works on both devices too. You can do it legally throw iTunes Share. This is not stealing as some of you says. I would say "steal" when you give away to many of your friends. I wouldn`t do this. Better keep in family.
