Have you ever thought about replacing your Text Messaging Plan with an app that delivers Push Notifications for free? Well the idea is starting to seem more and more like the future.

Indeed, iPhone app developer company Pinger, the creators of Textfree, told Techcrunch that over the last 9 month, they delivered as much as a Billion text messages through their app. That is a lot for just 9 months of service.

A great plus which not many other apps have is that it can integrate with Google Voice. Lastly, this massive usage has allowed the company to finally turn in a profit, making it another App Store success story needed in this day and age. Congratulations!
