Flash10According to Adobe’s Q2 2009 Fiscal Year presentation, the long awaited Flash 10 for smartphones will enter the beta stage this October.

There has been a high demand for a flash capable mobile browser for far too long, and it looks like Adobe is finally going to focus more on the smartphone market come this October. With the increasing demand and popularity of smartphones, Adobe is making the smart choice with finally pushing Flash 10 mobile to the front of the company To-Do list.

During their financial presentation, Adobe unveiled the Open Screen Project, promising Flash on specific brands of smartphones. Closely following the news, Palm announced they would be joining the Open Screen Project, thus guaranteeing Flash support for the Pre.

The last available information on the prime candidates for the Open Screen Project included Google, Microsoft, Palm, and Nokia. And no, I did not omit any other names to increase the suspense. So unless there is some major negotiations being held behind closed doors, Blackberry and Apple will be left off the Halloween party guest list.
